Jana Kramer shared a video of an intimate moment she shared with husband Allan Russell on the morning of their wedding day.
Kramer, 40, and Russell, 43, got married on July 13 in Scotland. Before the ceremony, the bride and groom went for a run together and stopped under a tall tree with a swing hanging from one of the branches. That’s where Kramer said she decided was the perfect setting for her husband-to-be to listen to the song she wrote for him for the first time.
“I wasn’t sure when I was going to play him the song I wrote him... It had been a surprise, and I wanted the moment to be right,” Kramer said as she shared the video on Instagram on Tuesday (September 10). “At first I thought maybe I would just send him the song the morning of the wedding but that didn’t feel right nor did singing to him at the wedding feel right. Believe it or not I’m shy and easily embarrassed in small intimate crowds and I wanted it to be just for him (well atleast until yall got to hear it 😉). So the morning of the wedding we went for a run and then stopped at this beautiful tree and swing and I hit play…here’s a little peak into that moment as it’s 3 days away from Warrior being released. Also I’m big on trees and the stories they tell, as we were about to start our story that day, it just felt right.”
The country artist, actress, author and Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast host will release “Warrior” on Friday (September 13).
Kramer and Russell announced their engagement in early 2023 after about six months of dating, and shortly afterward, revealed they were expecting a baby together. The fairytale wedding included Kramer’s two children from her previous marriage — Jolie, 8, and Jace, 5 — and Troy, 16, Russell’s son from a previous relationship, in addition to their baby. Son Roman James Russell arrived in November 2023. Russell said at that time that Kramer is “an absolute warrior of a woman and incredible mum who I simply adore.”
