Carly Pearce shared a full-circle moment with Jordan Davis.
The 17th ACM Honors hosting duo built their careers as award-winning artists alongside one another. Pearce shared a photo with Davis on the red carpet on Wednesday evening (August 21) — set up in not of the historic honky tonks on Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee — before kicking off the show together on the legendary Ryman Auditorium stage.
“Fun fact: When I moved to town, I used to go to a certain bar where the bartender’s name was Jordan. I later learned he was a singer too and we played his first ever ‘writers’ round’ together in town,” Pearce shared in her Instagram caption. “Fast forward after all these years of hard work and both finding success, our lives are coming full circle as we co-host ACM Honors tonight together. Hey [Jordan Davis], I think we made it. 🥲”
Davis replied in the comments: “What a ride... Honored to get to co-host with you but more honored to call you a friend Carly 👊”
The hummingbird artist previously said she was “thrilled” to return to host the show for another year, and looked forward to teaming up with Davis to host the “unforgettable night” together for the first time. The “Buy Dirt” singer added that after performing at the event for two years, he was “honored” to join Pearce as a host for the evening. Pearce and Davis took the stage during the star-studded ACM Honors, which is hailed the “Country Music Industry’s favorite night.” Other performers included Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Lee Ann Womack, Terri Clark, Jackson Dean, Kameron Marlowe, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Tyler Hubbard, Jamey Johnson, Ashley McBryde and Keith Urban. Honorees included Trisha Yearwood, Lainey Wilson, Tony Brown, Shannon Sanders, Luke Bryan, Walt Aldridge, Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton and Jessie Jo Dillon.
