Hallie Ray Light McCollum opened up about how her life is going as a new mom, and whether she wants more kids after welcoming Baby No. 1.
She and her husband, award-winning country artist Parker McCollum, welcomed Baby No. 1 earlier this month. Their newborn son, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, made his arrival at 7 pounds, 12 ounces, around 2:25 a.m. on August 8, nearly one week before his due date. Hallie invited her Instagram followers to ask her questions on Sunday (August 18). She replied to one, saying she’s “honestly feeling so good,” when asked how she’s doing postpartum. She’s had a “pretty quick & easy recovery,” she wrote on her Instagram story.
Hallie said she and Parker selected the name Major because “Parker mentioned it right when I got pregnant, so it was on our list for a while but didn’t officially decide until (the) week before he was born.” Parker revealed Baby No. 1’s name during an interview on The Spencer Graves Show. A clip from that interview was shared on Instagram and TikTok on July 23. Hallie emphatically said “YES,” she does want more babies, and said she “asked Major today if he was ready for another sibling,” she said on a slide on her Instagram story shared on Monday morning (August 19).
Parker and Hallie got married in Texas in 2022. They announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child, and quickly shared a gender reveal to confirm that a “little cowboy” was on the way. See the first family photos the couple shared on Instagram here:
