Kacey Musgraves is expanding her Deeper Well album with several additional tracks, the Grammy-winning artist announced on Thursday morning (July 25).
“We’re going 𝓭𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓮𝓻,” Musgraves wrote in a caption on Instagram. “The expanded version of Deeper Well includes 7 new songs and is out August 2nd.” One of the new tracks, “Irish Goodbye,” will arrive at midnight.
Musgraves’ fifth full-length album arrived in March, shortly after she hinted at it during the 2024 Grammy Awards. Musgraves added a bonus track to the original 14-track project days after its debut. She described Deeper Well as “a collection of songs I hold very dear to my heart. I hope it makes a home in all of your hearts, too.”
The Texas-born singer-songwriter, in the midst of her headlining world tour, said in a previous interview with PEOPLE that “(I) “myself better than in previous years, previous albums, and I just feel like I'm right where I need to be. ...Ultimately, the (title track) sums up where I'm at in my mid-30s and really evaluating what love means to me, what friendships mean to me, what are the things that I need, what is really serving me and not serving me. It's [about] taking stock and making room for the things that actually do really matter.”
