Bunnie Xo said she will no longer open up about her IVF journey on social media after receiving “gross” comments online.

Last month, Jelly Roll revealed in a podcast interview that he and his wife are talking about having a baby. Bunnie opened up about it on TikTok at that time, saying that the couple initially opted to keep their IVF journey private, but decided it “needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open.”

Bunnie posted a screenshot on Facebook of a comment she received from a social media user saying, in part, “I would think caring the child is so much more of the natural experience of motherhood. …yes it will effect [sic] that perfect body of yours but not if you take care of yourself really well.”

“This is so gross. You guys think I don’t want to carry because of my body lol,” Bunnie wrote as she shared the comment over the weekend. “When in actuality I’m scared to because I’ve had two ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages AND at my age, I do not want to go thru that again nor do we have time for me to do that because our life is happening so fast. Please watch how you say things to ppl on the internet. You aren’t in their shoes, you haven’t fought their battles & you kno nothing of the journey we’ve been thru, only what we’ve told you.

“This right here is exactly why I won’t be posting our journey anymore.”

Jelly Roll, the reigning Best New Artist award in both Pop and Country categories at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, previously spoke with podcast hosts and NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan about his health and weight loss. One of his motivators, he said, is that he and Bunnie are “talking about having a baby.” Bunnie said on TikTok that she and her husband never thought about adding to their family, but “something changed this year,” and now, they’re hoping to welcome a baby into “already perfect family” with daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah Buddy. She said at that time: “God willing, Baby DeFord 2026.”
