Lainey Wilson opened up about “feeling at home with the one you love,” as she shared a continuation of her life story on Thursday (July 4).

The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year premiered her “4x4xU” music video on the Fourth of July. The visual arrived one day after her “Hang Tight Honey” video, which ended with Wilson standing hand-in-hand with a man in a cowboy hat as she watched her tour bus drive away after her latest performance. “To be continued,” appeared over the screen. Wilson said “in more ways than one, ‘4x4xU’ is a continuation of my story and a direct follow-up to ‘Hang Tight Honey.’ So we had to make a couple music videos to match.

“I’m so excited for everyone to finally have their hands on ‘4x4xU.’ This song is about finding that someone that gives you the comfort and peace of home anywhere in the world as long as you’re by their side,” Wilson said in a statement. “Thank you to the incredible Dano Cerny for directing this video and bringing the vision to life, and to all of my collaborators on this record for being a part of what I think could be my biggest song yet.”

Wilson teamed up with Jon Decious and Aaron Raitiere to write “4x4xU,” the third track to release from her forthcoming album, Whirlwind, which arrives on August 23. The 14-track project is Wilson’s highly-anticipated follow-up to her Grammy Award-winning album, Bell Bottom Country, which arrived in 2022. Wilson said in an interview last summer with PEOPLE that was working on “some love songs now,” amid her relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges. The newly-inducted Grand Ole Opry member said she’s “got a feeling this is the best one yet,” as she stirred anticipation for “4x4xU” earlier this week.

“This album kept me in touch with reality while I was getting my footing living the dream,” Wilson said as “4x4xU” premiered on July 4. “As I continue to share my story, I hope you find yours in mine. This one’s about feeling at home with the one you love. That’s a special sense of peace and freedom if you ask me.”

Wilson’s newest ballad follows “Hang Tight Honey” and “Country’s Cool Again,” the anthem that inspired the name of her ongoing headlining tour. See the upcoming dates below.
