Lainey Wilson Joins Rockers On Legendary Nashville Stage: 'She Slayed It!'

Lainey Wilson joined The Black Crowes on the opening night of the band’s headlining tour, which kicked off on Tuesday night (April 2) at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. The Black Crowes said as they shared a video on their Instagram story that it was “a thrill to have [Lainey Wilson] join us on opening night at the [Opry] in Nashville. She slayed it!”

Wilson “had the best time with y’all at my home away from home,” she wrote in a response on Wednesday (April 3), adding a red heart emoji. The collaborative performance comes shortly after The Black Crowes teamed up with the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year on “Wilted Roses,” which appears on the band’s 10-track album Happiness Bastards that arrived last month, their 10th studio album and their first record in 15 years. Wilson remained on stage to perform “She Talks to Angels” with The Black Crowes, who released the ballad in 1990 on Shake Your Money Maker.
