Tim McGraw shared his reaction to a throwback photo with his wife, fellow country superstar Faith Hill, that was taken in the early years of their marriage. McGraw calls it a “Beauty and the Beast shot,” as he looked at a snapshot of “gorgeous” Hill and critiqued his own wardrobe.
“That’s a Beauty and the Beast shot right there. Look how gorgeous she is. My gosh. What’s she doing with that guy?” McGraw reacted with a smile. “Look at that hat and that suit, man, that shiny, silvery suit. ...We hadn’t been married too long, I don’t think, at that point. But boy, gosh, she’s stunning, isn’t she? My goodness. I got lucky.”
The photo McGraw showed was from the 33rd annual Country Music Association Awards, hosted in 1999 at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. That CMA Awards show took place nearly three years after McGraw and Hill are married. They tied the knot in October 1996, shortly after getting engaged. Since then the country music power couple welcomed and raised three daughters: Gracie McGraw, 26, Maggie McGraw, 25, and Audrey McGraw, 22.
McGraw reminisced on some of his favorite photos with his wife for his soon-to-premiere music video for “One Bad Habit,” a song that appears on his 6-track EP, Poet’s Resumé, which McGraw released as a surprise to his fans in November 2023. That collection arrived months after the Louisiana-born country star delivered his latest full-length album, Standing Room Only. The title of the 13-track album also inspired the name of McGraw’s 2024 headlining tour, bringing Carly Pearce and other artists on select dates. See his list of tour stops below.
