Zach Bryan kicked off his headlining “The Quittin’ Time Tour” with a surprise special guest: Kacey Musgraves.
Bryan and Musgraves delivered a surprise performance of their monumental duet, “I Remember Everything,” one of 16 tracks to appear on Bryan’s self-titled album. The duet won in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category at the 2024 Grammy Awards last month. That was Bryan’s first-ever Grammy Award win, and Musgraves made history as the first artist ever to win all four country categories at the Grammys (Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song).
Musgraves surprised the audience at United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Bryan launched his three-night run at the venue on Tuesday evening (March 5). United Center posted a video of Bryan’s performance of “I Remember Everything” with Musgraves,” writing in the caption on Instagram: “Things we’ll ALWAYS remember: Zach Bryan & [Kacey Musgraves] singing ‘I Remember Everything’ as a surprise duet in Chicago on night 1 of The Quittin’ Tour! 😍”
Bryan is set to play two more shows at United Center on Wednesday (March 6) and Thursday (March 7). The “Quittin’ Time Tour” includes stops in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Alabama, Washington D.C., South Carolina, Tennesse, California, Colorado, Texas and other destinations before wrapping up in December in Brooklyn, New York. The tour will include Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow, Sierra Ferrell and other artists on select dates, per a previous announcement.
Musgraves recently announced her own headlining world tour, which begins with a show in Ireland in late April. The tour kicks off weeks after Musgraves releases her highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Deeper Well. She previously said the album is “a collection of songs I hold very dear to my heart. I hope it makes a home in all of your hearts, too.”
