Cade Foehner shared a heartfelt message to his wife, fellow singer-songwriter Gabby Barrett, to celebrate her birthday. The “Glory Days” artist turned 24 on Tuesday (March 5). Foehner shared a reel on Instagram that captures sentimental moments and stunning glimpses of Barrett, set to Cody Johnson’s 2019 ballad “Fenceposts.”

“Happy birthday to my woman, my woman, my Wife! It is a *privilege* to have known you for another year. The Lord is merciful, and you are an astounding woman. I love you, My Lúthien forever,” Foehner wrote in his caption. Barrett replied in a comment: “Awe, I love you. Thank you! ❤”

Barrett and Foehner, 28, met as contestants on season 16 of American Idol in 2018. They announced their engagement and got married the following year, in October 2019, in Foehner’s home state, Texas. Since then, they’ve supported one another’s music — including taking the stage together, inspiration in songwriting and more — and started their family. They welcomed their firstborn child, daughter Baylah May, in January 2021. Son Augustine Boone followed in October 2022, and last month, Baby No. 3 was born. Daughter Ivy Josephine (Ivy Jo) made her arrival on February 17.

Barrett shared an intimate glimpse of her life as a young mother in the heartfelt song, “Growin’ Up Raising You.” The ballad appears on her latest full-length studio album, Chapter & Verse, which released shortly before Ivy Jo was born. Barrett co-produced the whole album and co-wrote nine of the 14 tracks.

“I’m only 23 – I don’t have all the answers to everything, and I haven’t gotten everything figured out,” Barrett previously said of “Growin’ Up Raising You.” “I’m doing the best that I can while trying to raise other people to be the best people they can be. I feel so blessed to be able to have three little lives that I can help to flourish while I’m also trying to figure out life myself.”
