Morgan Wallen’s sister, Ashlyne Wallen, is pregnant with her first child.
Ashyne and her boyfriend, Skylor Morton, announced on Instagram on Sunday that (February 25) that they’re expecting a baby together. They posted several photos of the parents-to-be cradling Ashlyne’s growing baby bump and sharing glimpses of the sonogram images. Ashlyne wrote in the caption that their baby is due in “Summer 2024 ♥️.” The “More Than My Hometown” artist hadn’t commented on the post as of publication time on Monday (February 26); however, Ashlyne’s announcement quickly garnered congratulatory messages from Kat Luna, Megan Moroney, RaeLynn, Hallie Ray Light McCollum (Parker McCollum’s wife, who is also pregnant with Baby No. 1), and many others.
Ashlyne grew up with an appreciation for music like Morgan and one of their other sisters, Mikaela, did. Ashlyne is even featured on background vocals on “Outlook,” on her brother’s One Thing at a Time album, per a recent report from PEOPLE about Morgan’s three sisters (Ashlyne, Mikaela and Lacey, adopted in 2021). PEOPLE notes that Mikaela is also a mother of two children, and Morgan is a father to son Indigo Wilder, who will turn 4 this year. Morgan and ex-fiancée KT Smith welcomed Indigo in July 2020.
“Since you were born, I know that every decision I make will be with you in mind. I promise I’ll always protect you, and do my best to be an example of a good, godly man just like my daddy was for me,” Morgan wrote, in part, in a post on Instagram when his son arrived in July 2020. “…I didn’t know what being a dad would feel like, honestly have been a little scared. But it’s the coolest damn feeling, and I’m ready for whatever God has planned for me and my little guy.”
Others in the country music community have also announced additions to their families in 2024. This month, Jessie James Decker and Gabby Barrett welcomed Babies No. 4 and No. 3, respectively. Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Brown, Jon Pardi and Summer Pardi, and others have babies on the way. See the list of pregnancy announcements here.
