“Jon said he knew it, i was definitely surprised,” Summer Pardi wrote in her caption on Instagram as she posted a video on Thursday morning (January 11), sharing the gender reveal she and husband Jon Pardi had for Baby No. 2.

Summer announced earlier this month that she and her husband, country superstar Jon Pardi, are expecting their second baby this year. They welcomed their firstborn child, daughter Presley Fawn Pardi, in February 2023. Summer’s video opens with an ultrasound, with Presley’s hand on her mother’s baby bump.

In the next scene in the video, set to “Little Life” by Cordelia, Jon and Summer open a box of pizza and at the count of three, they each pull a slice to reveal either pink or blue paper underneath. Summer laughed and Jon, holding Presley, exclaimed, “oh!,” as he showed his nearly 1-year-old daughter whether she’ll have a baby sister or baby brother. Watch the heartwarming moment here:

It’s a girl!

Summer revealed she’s pregnant with Baby No. 2 earlier this month. She shared a video showing the Pardi family walking through the framework of the new home they’re building, and added glimpses of Presley holding the sonogram images. Summer wrote in her caption: “Good thing we have that extra guest room 😉 we can’t wait to fill this home with all of the love from our little family of four 🤍.”

Jon and Summer welcomed Presley nearly on year ago. Presley was born at 5:05 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, at 7 lbs and 12oz, and 20.25 inches. Jon was first to post a picture of his then-newborn daughter, writing in his caption on the photo at that time: “Our Baby girl is here and ready to Pardi haha DAD joke!”

Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Summer posted a stunning black-and-white photo on Instagram of her growing family: “Pardi, party of 4 😜🤍”

Jon is one of many country stars to welcome a baby in 2023, along with Luke Combs, Kimberly Perry, Jana Kramer, Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney and more. The recently-inducted, first California-born country artist to become a Grand Ole Opry member is also one of several artists to announce an addition to the family expected in 2024, along with Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Jessie James Decker and others.
