Garth Brooks couldn’t help getting emotional as he spoke about his gratitude for his wife, fellow country megastar Trisha Yearwood, during a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Heading into Thanksgiving week, host Kelly Clarkson spoke with Brooks about gratitude and what his family does to celebrate the holiday.
Brooks is “married to one of the greatest cooks on the planet,” he replied. Yearwood has published a few best-selling cook books, in addition to her thriving career as an award-winning country artist. Brooks continued, “when it comes to the future, I think what you’re just grateful for is just one more day of getting to do this.”
The “Friends In Low Places” icon shared heartfelt sentiments about his family, and said of Yearwood: “I’ve said this before, I found her in the past life (and) I’ll find her in the next.”
Brooks’ interview segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show posted on the same morning he revealed a list of 18 added shows to his Las Vegas residency, Garth Brooks Plus One, hosted at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The additional dates span from September to December 2024. Tickets will be available to the general public on Monday, November 27.
