Priscilla Block cautioned her Instagram followers that they “weren’t ready” for her CMA Awards red carpet look.

She was right.

The “Just About Over You” star turned heads as she walked the red carpet wearing an eye-popping, bright neon yellow wardrobe with a construction vest, accompanied by a traffic cone. Block often wears similar wardrobe pieces during live performances, including on the “You Me & Whiskey Tour” with fellow country artist Justin Moore, and when she took the Chevy Riverfront Stage during CMA Fest over the summer in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Block caught up with iHeartCountry earlier this year, reflecting on nearly 10 years in Nashville. The North Carolina native shared that she’s thrived on authenticity, whether that’s in a heartbreak ballad or in a high-energy party song. She said her music reflects on “a lot of ups and downs,” in an effort to “just keep it real and write my life.”

“I think what makes me a fan of a lot of different artists is just, you know, people I feel like I can find myself in a little bit. That just seem like me,” Block said. “I think it’s really important to be authentic. I honestly think that’s kind of only what wins anymore, just staying real in life. People want to relate to something, and I don’t ever wanna be something that I’m not. So, I put it all out there and if you like it, great, if you don’t, I really don’t care!”

Block previously teased that she’s “definitely got new music coming, probably sooner than you think.” Her next song, “Hey, Jack,” is set to release on Friday (November 10).

The 57th CMA Awards is set to air live on ABC from Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee, beginning at 8pm ET/7pm CT. It’s also available to listen on iHeartCountry Radio and on iHeartRadio Country stations nationwide. If you miss the live broadcast, the three-hour show is available next day on Hulu.
