Chris Young shared a glimpse of one of his latest workouts months after revealing he’s dropped about 60 pounds. The country star posted a video from the gym on TikTok on Tuesday (November 7), set to his David Bowie-inspired anthem “Young Love & Saturday Nights.” Young’s watch shows that he crushed a one-hour, 15-minute workout ahead of the BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
Young first revealed in August that he’s lost 60 pounds since the beginning of the year, and he’s “still not done.” He posted a photo as “fitness motivation,” and shared at that time: “This year has been dedicated to a lot of work on myself. Music wise AND in the gym. Still not done, but down 60 pounds so yeah… Gonna leave this here.” Young has since posted other photos from the gym and shirtless selfies on Instagram as he tracks his progress.
The country hitmaker recently caught up with iHeartCountry, speaking about his health and fitness transformation during that interview. Young said at that time that “everybody’s asking” about his health and fitness plans since posting that photo. He said he’s “completely overhauled” his diet and has “been in the gym constantly” to achieve his results. He focused on making “really small adjustments (to his lifestyle) over time,” and encouraged others to “find something that works for them,” if they’re hoping to make a healthier change in their own lives. Now, Young said he feels “better than I have in a long time.”
