Jon Pardi and fellow country superstar Luke Bryan joined forces to unleash a collaboration fit for a honky tonk on the famed Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The two country artists released “Cowboys and Plowboys” to kick off the weekend on Friday (October 13).

The “Cowboys and Plowboys” debut comes shortly after Pardi and Bryan teased their collaboration with a hilarious behind-the-scenes clip from the recording studio earlier this week. The video captured Bryan dancing his way into the room and laughing as he embraced the “Mr. Saturday Night” star in a hug. Pardi hinted at the duet’s title when he wrote in his caption on Instagram, “a cowboy & a plowboy go into the studio together…” Pardi added on Friday that he and Bryan “had an awesome time working in the studio on this one.”

“I’ve always looked up to Luke as a songwriter and an artist, and he’s a great friend,” Pardi said on Friday, per his record label. “We’ve been on tour together and he’s been someone that has inspired me along the way and always had my back. We’ve been excited to put this song out for a long time, and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

“When the writers sent this song I couldn’t stop listening to it and I’m so glad it worked out for Pardi to be the one I got to sing it with,” Bryan said in a statement. “He is one of the most genuine artists I know. What you see is truly what you get and I respect what he continues to build.”

Pardi, who is set to release his festive Merry Christmas From Jon Pardi album later this month, released his latest full-length record in September 2022. Mr. Saturday Night — the 14-track project that includes “Last Night Lonely,” “Your Heart Or Mine,” “Longneck Way To Go” with Midland and more — inspired the name of Pardi’s ongoing headlining tour. Pardi recently kicked off the trek with MidlandJackson DeanRandall KingElla Langleyand DJ Highmax on select dates.
