Caroline Jones is in the midst of two simultaneous tours and readying her next full-length record with a baby on the way. While she was on a bus from Nashville to Canada to kick off a busy weekend of five shows in four days, Jones fielded a few questions from her Instagram followers.

The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist opened the opportunity for questions on Wednesday evening (July 12), and continued answering them on Thursday (July 13). Among them, many wanted to know, “How is it having a crazy schedule and being pregnant?” Jones made a heartwarming pregnancy reveal in late June with husband Nick Dana, sharing at that time the she was 19 weeks along.

“I got this question a lot,” Jones said in a video on her Instagram story. “At times, it’s really, really overwhelming and emotionally stressful. It forces you to prioritize and to really center yourself. Actually, I’m reading this book right now… One of the lines in it is referring to labor, but there’s a mantra that says, ‘nothing extra, nothing extra, nothing extra,’ and that’s a mantra that I’ve put on a sticky note on my bathroom mirror. Just ‘nothing extra.’ Trying not to add emotional stress or any drama or any extra to what I already have on my plate because I’m one of those people with a really active mind and I tend to thing ahead and I really have to try to stay in the moment and make sure that my schedule feels manageable.

“I have a team and a husband and a family that really supports me and has helped me to look at the next four months and make sure that we feel good about everything that’s on my plate, because obviously there’s a lot you can’t control,” Jones continued. “But making sure that, because I’m also releasing an album and we’re doing all the content and videos, we just finished the recording of it, there’s a lot — and I have two tours going on, so making sure that we haven’t overextended me to the point where I can’t do my job well because I love it so, so much. And then physically, the physical (and) mental wellness part, I joke that I’ve been training for this my whole life. I’ve been taking really good care of my health and wellness and fitness for a really long time. So, just continuing to do that. Eating super clean, exercising every single day, meditating, all those things.”

Jones added, however, “just to be clear I still cry very day 🤣😭”

Sh also answered a few questions about how she keeps her faith on tough days in the music industry (her song, “Superpower,” speaks to that, Jones said), shared details about an upcoming show in Minnesota opening for Carrie Underwood, her biggest musical inspirations, details about her healthy lifestyle and more.

Jones is getting ready to release her next full-length album, aiming to release it this fall. Most recently, she released her 5-track EP, Superpower, and will release her next collaboration on Friday (July 14). Jones wrote “Million Little Bandaids” with Zac Brown in mind, teamed up with Zac Brown Band on it.

“This is a very full circle moment for me, to have ZBB on one of my songs,” Jones wrote in her caption on Instagram. “And this song in particular expresses a profound message about having the courage to open your heart and tell really hard and vulnerable truths (more on the lyric later), which is a journey I have been on the last few years. I actually wrote ‘Million Little Bandaids’ two years ago with Zac in mind, so this is a big time manifestation for me. I can’t wait for you all to hear it ❤️‍🩹”
