It’s been more than two decades since Reba McEntire released one of her most iconic anthems of her career. The beloved country megastar shared a revisited clip of the powerful single on Instagram as she reflected on her early 2000s debut of “I’m A Survivor.”

“I’m A Survivor” released on McEntire’s Greatest Hits Volume III — I’m A Survivor album, along with unforgettable fan-favorites like “If You See Him, If You See Her” with Brooks & Dunn, “The Heart Won’t Lie” with Vince Gill, “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” and other tracks. McEntire included “I’m A Survivor” on her 2021 triple album, Revived Remixed Revisited, a massive collection of some of the biggest this of her career. The 30-track project also included “Is There Life Out There,” “Walk On,” “Fancy,” “Consider Me Gone” “Does He Love You” (an Eric Kupper remix with original duet partner Linda Davis, and a revisited version featuring Dolly Parton), and more.

“I can’t believe it’s been 21 years since ‘I’m A Survivor’ was released,” McEntire wrote in her Instagram caption. “I love seeing how much it’s connected with people throughout the years. That’s the power of a great song!”

Many fans will also recognize “I’m A Survivor” as the theme song of McEntire’s sitcom, Reba, which premiered in 2001 and ran for six seasons, ending in 2007. It starred the country hitmaker as Reba Hart, “a single mom of three, navigating life in a Houston suburb.” The show also starred JoAnna Garcia SwisherScarlett Pomers and Mitch Holleman played McEntire’s onscreen children, Christopher Rich as her ex-husband, and Melissa Peterman as Rich’s new wife and McEntire’s unlikely friend. Amid widespread demand from fans, McEntire previously said in an interview on The Bobby Bones Show that she was “trying hard” for a reboot, and hoped for a reunion with her former cast mates. She said in a Good Morning America interview last year that “unfortunately,” we’re not any closer to a Reba reboot, “but we’ll kinda keep seeing if we can get in there somewhere.”
