Adam Doleac debuted a heartwarming “love letter” to his wife, fittingly, as the couple celebrated their six-month wedding anniversary. The singer-songwriter hailing from Mississippi released the song that he and his wife used in their wedding video. Doleac wrote “Biggest Fan” as a tribute to her.

The sweet ballad aims to assure Doleac’s wife that, for all of her support that she’s offered in his music career, he’s her biggest fan, too. Doleac released “Biggest Fan” shortly after reflecting on some throwback snapshots from the couple’s stunning ceremony, captured by photographer Ali Bonomo. He said in his June 2 post that it’s “pretty cool having hundreds of photos of the best day of my life. I love you baby.”

Until now, “Biggest Fan” was “our song,” Doleac said in a recent interview with iHeartRadio, deeming it his “most soulful vocal” to date. “She has to put so much time and effort into kind of supporting this dream of mine. So, it’s, she always tells me that she’s my biggest fan. …I just flipped it around and said, I’d stay all night watching you in the bright lights, like she does for me, if that’s what you wanted to do. And I’d wait in line, and I’d go through the whole thing for her, too. …She loves the song, so we actually made the cover out of a photo of us, the night after our wedding, so it’s pretty cool.

“Believability is huge in music. Nothing’s gonna work if your audience doesn’t believe you and think it’s genuine,” Doleac added later, also noting that his most personal lyrics are often deeply relatable to others, too. “’Genuine’ (has) been a word for me that I try to keep all my music. …that’s also just what I love. I love family, relationships, romance, that kind of stuff. So, I love writing about it, and luckily I’ve had some songs turn into really big first dance songs and get to show up and surprise people at weddings and whatnot, which has been really fun. I think this’ll probably happen with ‘Biggest Fan,’ as well. …some songs I write end up other places, like Nate Smith has one on his brand new record that I wrote. Lainey Wilson has one on hers, Dan + Shay has one on theirs coming out soon, so it’s been cool to watch Kane Brown, Darius Rucker…so I love being a part of the project that way as a writer, too.”

It’s a song that Doleac hopes will resonate with listeners, whether it reminds them of their own spouses or significant others, or other people in their lives who are unconditionally their biggest supporters. Doleac acknowledged that “life is hard,” and “we all kind of lose faith sometimes.” That’s when it’s so important to hav “people in our corner to cheer for us when we need them.” Whether “Biggest Fan” turns into a first dance song or serves as a tribute to a close friend, a parent or a sibling who’s always a supporter, Doleac is interested to see how listeners interpret “Biggest Fan.”

“Biggest Fan” quickly follows other releases from Doleac, including “Wrong Side of a Sunrise” last month and his 7-track EP, Barstool Whiskey Wonderland, in April (offering acoustic renditions of several of the songs that appeared on Doleac’s 18-track album of the same name that dropped a few months prior). Guessing he had about 500 unreleased songs on his phone at that given time, Doleac said he would “put new music out around the clock” if he could (and he has more music on the way).

Doleac is setting his sights on the tour dates spanning the summer and heading into fall, including shows with Justin Moore, Eli Young Band, Tyler Hubbard and Old Dominion. Listen to “Biggest Fan” here:
