Riley Green Joins Forces With Luke Combs, Puts Fresh Spin On Country Anthem

Riley Green and Luke Combs joined forces to put a new spin on one of Green’s powerful country anthems, “Different ‘Round Here.” The pair of singer-songwriters unleashed their new collaboration on Thursday (May 11), and “it’s been a long time comin,” Green said.

“Brave is 18 wearin' army green/ Truth is in the words, in red we read/ Proud is what you say about where you're from/ Heroes are daddies and mamas are love/ The right is right and wrong is wrong/ Yeah, we're doin' things a little different 'round here”

“Different ‘Round Here” appeared on Green’s 14-track project of the same name, which released in 2019. That album also included “There Was This Girl,” “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” “Get That Man A Beer” and other fan-favorites.

“There’s still a few good ol country boys around…glad to have my good buddy [Luke Combs] join me on a new version of Different Round Here… This one’s been a long time comin,” Green wrote in an Instagram caption when he announced the collaboration last month. “Lookin forward to playing the rest of these stadium shows together this summer. See y’all on the road.”

Green is one of several artists to join Combs on the “5 Leaf Clover” hitmaker’s massive world tour, which spans three continents with stops in 16 countries, playing dozens of shows throughout the year.
