Lainey Wilson looked gorgeous as ever as she graced the stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
On Thursday night, May 11, the singer-songwriter stepped up to the mic to deliver a stellar rendition of her song "Grease" following her performance with Jelly Roll. Wilson wore a stunning sequin white top with bright blue bell-bottom pants, a shiny silver belt buckle and her signature hat. Her electrifying performance came after she won the award for Album of the Year with Bell Bottom Country and Song of the Year thanks to he collaboration with HARDY, "wait in the truck."
It's been an amazing year for Wilson thus far. Following the release of her critically-acclaimed album Bell Bottom Country, she's been named Best New Country Artist at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards. She also won the CMT Breakout Artist of the Year award and became the Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Awards, which she got to attend with her father Brian Wilson after he recovered from his health issues.
“This is a big moment for me and my family,” Wilson said ahead of the CMAs last year. “He went through some medical issues this year and we thought we were gonna lose him. And he's been working really hard so he could get back up on his feet and do this with me. Because crazy thing is, this was actually his dream when he was a little boy…So he's been living a little bit vicariously through me and it's gonna be an exciting moment for me to be able to share that with him and my family. We've got tons of things to celebrate.”
In addition to all the awards, Lainey Wilson also launched her acting career with her debut on the hit series Yellowstone. She also recently wrapped up her first-ever headlining tour with Ben Chapman, Meg McRee and Leah Blevins.
