Jason Aldean paid tribute to his audiences with “Tough Crowd,” his latest country anthem that dropped on Monday (May 8). Aldean’s debut from his forthcoming album comes shortly before he takes the stage at the 58th annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas on Thursday evening (May 11).

“This is just a song to me that talks about our fans…about us onstage getting a bird's-eye view of our fans that come in all shapes and sizes and colors,” Aldean said, per a press release issued on Monday morning. “It's just really cool to look out and just see those people from all different walks of life come together for a show and have fun.”

Kurt Allison, Marv Green, Tully Kennedy, Kelley Lovelace and Neil Thrasher teamed up to write “Tough Crowd,” produced by Michael Knox. “Tough Crowd” follows Aldean’s latest full-length project, a double album that serves as a nod to his hometown. The two 15-track installments are named MACON and GEORGIA, packed with “That’s What Tequila Does,” “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” “Rock And Roll Cowboy” and other fan-favorites throughout the track lists.

Earlier this year, Aldean confirmed that work on his 11th studio album was underway. He confirmed that he’s working on new music shortly after unveiling the dates of his headlining “Highway Desperado Tour,” with special guests Mitchell TenpennyCorey Kent and Dee Jay Silver.
