It’s official… Jake Owen has new music on the horizon.

The country star shared a “news alert” in a reel on Instagram on Wednesday morning (April 26), confirming that new music is set to release next month. Though he didn’t announce an exact release date, Owen dropped a few hints about what his fans can expect.

“I made it to Napa after a long day yesterday of planting all kinds of flowers,” Owen said in his recorded message as he sipped a cup of coffee outside. “Of course, I’m up early because I get up early every single day. I’ve got kids. Already texted a lot of my team, told them there’s a nice coffee shop next door. …Playing a little music for a lot of folks mostly because I have new music coming out. Like, next month. New Jake Owen music coming! …What kind of new music?

“I mean, I kind of made a living putting out songs that make people feel good when they listen to it,” he continued. “So, I think I’m going to continue that trend. I feel like there’s a lull of summer songs right now, and we’re in need of a solid summer song. Are you guys getting ready to get back out on the boat again? Memorial Day is coming up. That’s usually when people get out there on the water. That’s where I’m gonna be. That’s where I’m gonna be this weekend, actually. …New music coming next month. New album. All the shenanigans.”

Owen’s next collection of new music follows a few previously-released singles and career-spanning hits, including “1X1,” “Up There Down Here,” “Fishin’ On A River,” “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Made For You,” “American Country Love Song” and many others. Watch Owen announce his new music here:
