Jimmie Allen surged fresh energy into a whole city in the vibrant new music video for his upbeat anthem, “be alright,” which he premiered for the first time on The Kelly Clarkson Show. The genre-blending country superstar kicked off the video by tipping a street performer strumming an acoustic guitar, while viewers can hear another one of his smash-hit singles, “down home.” Both tracks appeared on Allen’s 17-track Tulip Drive, named after the street his grandmother lived on in Delaware.
Allen walks into a coffee shop where the barista shares that she has “a lot on my mind,” and begins to unravel some of the hectic parts of her day as she’s rudely interrupted by her supervisor. That’s when Allen shares a phrase he lives by, assuring the barista that “it’ll be alright,” and kickstarting a dance number in the coffee shop. The Dancing With The Stars alum spreads the dance party into the streets of the busy city, sharing the uplifting message with others who need to hear it.
“Let me tell you now/ When you're feeling broken down/ You just gotta let it ride/ It'll be alright/ Smoke it and roll with it/ Sip it and flow with it/ Wheels on the road with it/ Lay back and go with it/ Sometimes you'rе high with it/ Sometimes you're low with it/ But it'll bе alright”
Allen kicked off his exclusive iHeartCountry Album Release Party with a performance of “be alright” when he released Tulip Drive last year. The 17-track project also included “down home,” “settle on back,” “pesos” with CeeLo Green & T-Pain, “on my way” with Jennifer Lopez and other highlights throughout the project.
