Luke Combs added another show to his massive world tour, performing back-to-back nights next weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. The powerhouse country artist dropped the surprise announcement on his social media channels on Friday morning (April 7). Combs will now perform a second show at Nissan Stadium in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, April 14, in addition to his previously-scheduled concert at the venue on Saturday, April 15.
“I was sitting down with my team this week. We were kind of going over how these stadium shows have been going and some of the challenges of that, and really, the challenges of playing one show a week,” Combs said in his announcement. “That’s kind of the thing that’s been hardest for me because I love playing shows so much. I just enjoy the heck out of it, and it’s something that I wanna do more. So, with that being said, we’re playing Nissan Stadium here next Saturday, April the 15th. We’re also gonna be playing Nissan Stadium this Friday, April the 14th. So, we’re opening up a brand new show. …I look forward to seeing you guys there. I’m super excited about it.”
Tickets were set to go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. CT. Riley Green, Mitchell Tenpenny and Brent Cobb are set to join Combs on the added performance date. Flatland Cavalry and Lainey Wilson had prior commitments, Combs noted in his announcement on Friday. The “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” superstar also teased “maybe some more exciting news” is on the way.
Combs recently released his 18-track album, Gettin’ Old, as a follow-up to his award-winning project, Growin’ Up. The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Album of the Year winner announced in September 2022 that he would kick off a world tour this year, with dozens of shows spanning three continents and 15 countries. Combs, a soon-to-be father of two, also invited fans to vote on his next radio single, choosing between “5 Leaf Clover” and “Love You Anyway.” He’ll reveal the winner at his Nissan Stadium show in Nashville on Saturday.
