Keith Urban brought a piece of Las Vegas to Los Angeles when he delivered an electrifying performance on the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards stage on Monday evening (March 27). The country hitmaker, in the midst of his high-energy Las Vegas residency, performed two of his most unforgettable anthems at the Dolby Theater. Urban performed a rendition of one of his most recent ballads, “Brown Eyes Baby,” a romantic anthem released last year:

“I can put the smile right back where your smile goes/ Dreams back in what you see when your eyes close/ I’ll be the buzz that you feel when you sip slow/ Slow dance right back in your dirt road/ I can put the sun right back in your sunshine/ Bring a little love back into your late night/ Ain't gotta be nothin' more than one more drink and maybe/ I can take the blue out of your brown eyes, baby.”

Afterward, he switched gears to a 10-year-old throwback that many of his fans undoubtedly know and love, “Somewhere In My Car.”

“But in my mind, we're somewhere in my car/ And it's raining hard on the streetlight glow/ You got your lips on mine, it's gasoline on fire, I never will forget/ You grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head/ And your fingertips slide up and down my back/ Breathin' hard, steamin' up the glass/ I’d give anything if I could bring it back, oh-oh-oh-oh”

The iHeartRadio Music Awards performance comes shortly after the global superstar unveiled new dates of his Las Vegas residency, hosted at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Earlier this month, Urban announced that new dates would be added from November 1 through November 18. His show was custom-designed for the stage at the 7,000-seat, state-of-the-art venue. Keith Urban: The Las Vegas Residency added the following performance dates in November: 1, 3, 4, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18. There are also upcoming shows this month (March 15, 17 and 18), in June (16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28 and 30), and on July 1.

Relive this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards special, now through April 17th on Hulu.
