Brad Paisley shared Peyton Manning’s hilarious reaction after the country star dropped his name into a song during an onstage moment with Carrie Underwood.
“Paisleywood” had a surprise reunion on the Bridgestone Arena stage during Underwood’s “Denim & Rhinestones Tour” stop in Nashville, Tennessee on March 1. The iconic duo became widely known for hosting the annual Country Music Association Awards together for about a decade, beginning in 2008. This year, however, Manning teamed up with country star Luke Bryan to host the CMA Awards show in November.
“I stand by what I said,” Paisley said in a video with Manning as he showed him a clip of his performance with Underwood. After the “Ghost Story” powerhouse told him, “you’re funnier than Luke,” Paisley replied, “and you’re prettier than Peyton!”
Manning couldn’t help but laugh as he said, “I agree.”
“Truer words were never spoken,” Paisley captioned his reel on Instagram, tagging the NFL star and Underwood, who commented: “As my husband [Mike Fisher] always says, ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.’”
