Gabby Barrett posted a behind-the-scenes look from the recording studio as she teased fans with an update on the progress of her highly-anticipated sophomore album. Walking through the studio before taking her seat in front of the mic, Barrett confirmed in her caption on Instagram: “3 songs down today for album number 2 🥰 Should I drop another sneak peek?”
Barrett has previously shared that she’s working on new music as she readies her second album. She previously posted a snippet of a song, posing questions to her social media followers in her caption: “What do you want to hear? Who do you want a duet with?” Before that, Barrett confirmed in a brief Q&A on her Instagram story that she was in the process of writing songs for her next project.
The American Idol alum’s next album will follow Goldmine, her debut full-length project that released in 2020. Barrett released a deluxe edition in 2021, which includes “Pick Me Up,” “Never Get It Back,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “The Good Ones (Wedding Version).” Recently, Barrett also teamed up with Colton Dixon on a new version of his inspiring anthem, “Build a Boat.”
