Kelsea Ballerini’s mom, Carla, is officially the next guest on a soon-to-premiere episode of the Got It From My Momma podcast, and listeners might get the opportunity to ask her questions.

Host Jennifer Vickery Smith was preparing for the interview with Carla when she came up with “the most genius idea.” Smith revealed her podcast guest on her Instagram story on Wednesday evening (February 15), inviting listeners to help provide questions throughout the conversation with Carla (including her work with the Nashville-based nonprofit organization, Music Health Alliance). Smith, who shared a way to submit questions on her Instagram story, said her next podcast guest “is an incredible mom who has supported her daughter in a really awesome way.”

Smith’s podcast, Got It From My Momma, features conversations “about family, fame, and faith with the mommas of your favorite entertainers.” The first episode, featuring Thomas Rhett’s mom, released in late November. Since then, Smith has featured Parker McCollum’s mom, Lauren Alaina’s mom, HARDY’s mom, her son (country artist Conner Smith) and others.

Ballerini brought her mom as her date to the 65th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this month, when she was nominated in the Best Country Solo Performance category for “HEARTFIRST,” the debut single from her latest 15-track project. Ballerini said that evening that it was her mom who “moved me to Nashville when I was 15,” to support her dreams of becoming an award-winning singer-songwriter.
