Jana Kramer is kicking off her “Whine Down Tour” on Thursday evening (February 16), and she sparked anticipation for the series of shows by playing a snippet of a soulful, unreleased ballad that she might include in her set list.
Kramer unveiled the chorus of the song in a reel she shared on Instagram on Wednesday evening (February 15), sitting in her kitchen and swirling a glass of red wine as she mouthed along with the words to the chorus of her new song: “I’m trying to figure out the setlist, so if you’re coming to a ‘Whine Down’ show, comment below. Let me know what you wanna hear, and here’s a little sneak peek of a new song that I’m potentially gonna play.”
“Tomorrow we hit the road on the WHINE DOWN @whinedownpodcast tour,” Kramer said in her caption. “Here’s a sneak peak of a new song I’ll be playing.. Comment below for the songs you want to hear or topics you want us to talk about. We can’t wait to hang with all of you. 🖤”
The country artist, actress and podcast host most recently released “The Nicest Thing,” a breakup anthem with a powerful message: “Ohhhh/ The nicest thing you ever could’ve done/ Was just keep walking/ Could’ve stayed two strangers/ Why’d you mess it up with talking/ See my face and you let it go/ Just another name that you’ll never know/ The nicest thing you ever could’ve done/ For me was never said hello oh oh oh/ Hello oh oh oh”
Kramer’s “Whine Down Tour” nods to her award-winning podcast, focused on life and relationships:
“At the end of a long day, nothing is better than winding down and decompressing with a good friend, especially one that’s seen it all. Jana Kramer is here to hang out and share her advice and experience from a pretty crazy life. She’s been there and done that, from acting to singing, divorce, motherhood and beyond. If you’ve got something to get off your chest, come over to Jana’s place, pour a glass or two and Whine down!”
