Luke Combs announced that he’s kicking off the weekend by releasing a new songs as fans eagerly await the award-winning singer-songwriter’s 18-track album. Combs shared a powerful, acoustic rendition of “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old,” revealing that the coming-of-age anthem will make its official debut on Friday (January 27).
Combs has previously teased the unreleased song on his social media channels, stirring anticipation for his new music: “It's when you start thinkin' how much time left you got / If there's more sand, in the bottom or the top / 'Cause that hourglass we have don't last forever / I've been thinkin' 'bout it more and more these days / It's like the less you have the faster that it goes / In the middle of growin' up and gettin old.”
“Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” is one of several unreleased songs Combs has shared on his social media channels lately, including “Love You Anyway,” “Tattoo On A Sunburn,” and the highly-requested “Five Leaf Clover.” Some fans still couldn’t resist begging for “Five Leaf Clover” in the comments: “I think you misspelt five leaf clover,” “Where’s Five Leaf Clover?!?,” “How bout Five Leaf Clover!?,” “It’s not Five Leaf Clover but it will do!,” and “This isn’t 5 leaf clover !!!!!!,” to name a few.
