Luke Combs teased his social media followers with a snippet of an unreleased heartache ballad, and thousands of his fans are dropping eager comments for the powerhouse sinner-songwriter to release the full track. Combs shared a nearly one-minute audio clip on TikTok (and a video of an acoustic rendition on his other social media channels):
“And if your touch shattered me like glass/ I’d be in pieces trying to make the breaking last/ If it took one look to turn my days to night/ At least I’d have the stars that sparkle in your eyes/ There’s just some things that leave a man no choice/ Like a compass needle needing its true north/ Even if I knew the day we met you’d be the reason this heart breaks/ Oh, I’d love you anyway”
The “Love You Anyway” teaser comes shortly after Combs announced that he’ll release an 18-track album in March, just as he kicks off his massive world tour. The album will make its debut on March 24. The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Artist of the Year (who is nominated in multiple categories at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards) posed a question to his social media followers when he made the announcement: “what song(s) do y’all wanna hear?”
Many of Combs’ fans were quick to request a few of the award-winning artist’s unreleased songs, including “Five Leaf Clover,” “Tattoo On A Sunburn” and “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old.” Listen to Combs’ latest teaser here:
