Jelly Roll is taking charge of his health in 2023. According to Music Mayhem, the stand-out artist plans to spend the first few months of this year prioritizing his health.
"I'm going to spend the first couple months of the year just focusing on family and health," Jelly Roll shared with Music Mayhem. "I lost some weight this year in 2022, but in 2023 I wanna finally conquer the demon. I don't leave for a big tour until about the middle of the year. So I plan on taking the first half of the year to tighten the album up and get some work in."
The 38-year-old has struggled with weight loss in the past. CMT mentioned that Jelly Roll was very public about his weight loss journey in 2017, but ended up gaining it all back. In 2020, he took to Twitter to tell his fans that he is "taking back control of his life" by addressing his weight.
"My wife and I had a serious talk about my health last night, it was painful but honest and I appreciated it. Today she is prepping my meals, it’s day 1 of me taking back control of my life and addressing my weight problem. I will be sharing and updating my results with twitter," the tweet read. Jelly Roll will be working with a trainer this year to help him keep the weight off, and live a healthier lifestyle.
