The biggest names in country music paid tribute to the legendary Alan Jackson with a stunning performance.
On Tuesday night, November 9, the Country Music Hall of Famer was honored with an epic presentation by Carrie Underwood, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley and Lainey Wilson. Underwood opened the tribute with a special rendition of "Remember When" and an honorable message to the iconic artist. The show continued with Pardi, Bently and Wilson on the guitar as they performed classics like "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)" and "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow." Eventually, Jackson himself appeared on stage and performed "Don't Rock The Jukebox."
The touching dedication to the Georgia native's iconic career happened right before he accepted the 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. He joins the likes of other country legends who have received the award like Willie Nelson (2012), Kenny Rogers (2013), Johnny Cash (2015), Dolly Parton (2016), Kris Kristofferson (2019), Charley Pride (2020), and Loretta Lynn (2021). The veteran singer-songwriter has earned 15 awards from the Country Music Association throughout the course of his 30+ years in the music industry.
Since the early '80s, Alan Jackson has delivered over 20 albums and collections. Following the release of his debut album New Traditional in 1987, Jackson finally hit it big with his third studio LP A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'bout Love). It was lead by singles "Chattahoochee," "She's Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues)," and "Tonight I Climbed the Wall" and became his first no. 1 country album. He won his first Grammy in 2002 after he won Best Country Song for "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)." Jackson released his 21st album Where Have You Gone last year.
