Jana Kramer reflected on her divorce as she delved into a deep conversation about “toxic forgiveness” with Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Zampino, and therapist Nedra Glover Tawwab on the latest episode of Red Table Talk.

Kramer “reveals how continually forgiving her ex-husband’s multiple infidelities made her lose herself,” Red Table Talk explains of the new episode in its description on Wednesday (October 19) on Facebook Watch. The actress and country music singer said during the interview that her ex-husband, football player Mike Caussin, cheated on her with “more” than 13 women during their marriage.

Kramer, host of the podcast Whine Down With Jana Kramer, married Caussin in 2015. Kramer filed for divorce last year. They share two children together: Jolie, 6, and Jace, 3. Kramer said during the Red Table Talk episode that she noticed “red flags” shortly after she began dating Caussin, but she opted to forgive him and make the relationship work.

“My daughter was four months old when a girlfriend was like, ‘Something's not right with him.’ And I could sense it,” Kramer remembered. “I think I didn't want to believe it. I'm on the road, I'm traveling. Like, like, how– how would I know? And she goes, ‘Look through the phone bills.’ And so I looked through the phone bill and started calling these numbers, and then that's when I found out the truth.”

Kramer “shattered so many things in my house” in the aftermath of the divorce, including his Xboxes. “I went real crazy for a minute.”

“I know we're both in better situations,” Kramer said during another point in the emotional conversation. “But I think about this year, my kids won't wake up at my house Christmas Day. That one's gonna hurt. …’You took away my dream too of what I wanted for my family. That's not fair.’

“Was honored to be on [Red Table Talk] with these strong women,” Kramer wrote on Instagram. “This episode is all about toxic forgiveness and how to get on the other side. ...Thank you again [Jada Pinkett Smith] for having me join you beautiful women to talk about forgiveness.”
