LeAnn Rimes is taking it back to “where it all began…”
Rimes shared in a tweet on Thursday (July 14) that she would release another song from her highly-anticipated upcoming album, god’s work, with a brief sneak peek of the soon-to-release track, “the wild.” On Instagram, she included hashtags about female empowerment and women’s rights, among others. The upcoming album includes collaborations with Ziggy Marley, Ledisi, Ben Harper, Sheila E. and Mickey Guyton, among other artists.
god’s work “is beyond special to me and we have carefully curated every step of this process, like never before. i can’t wait for this new music to be in your speakers and more importantly, your hearts,” Rimes previously said. The project is one that intentionally uses all-lowercased letters, because, Rimes explained: “If we’re arguing about why the ‘g’ is or isn’t capitalized, we’re missing the whole point. It’s so important for us to focus on the messages, rather than the nuances.”
Rimes, who recently celebrated 25 years as a recording artist and saw the opening of the new The Power Of Women In Country Music exhibit at the GRAMMY Museum, will release her album on September 16. Get a sneak peek of Rimes’ soon-to-release song here:
