Chris Stapleton has postponed upcoming shows after testing positive for COVID-19. The award-winning “Tennessee Whiskey” artist and the “All-American Road Show” posted a statement on his social media channels to announce rescheduled dates and share a heartfelt message to fans who planned to attend the now-rescheduled concerts:
“To all my friends in Salt Lake City and Denver, I am very sorry to let you all know that I have tested positive for Covid and will be unable to perform this weekend’s shows.
“The shows will be rescheduled to the following weekend, July 1-3, and we hope you can join us then. Please contact your point of purchase if you cannot.
“I want to sincerely thank everyone who has waited so long for these shows. We are incredibly grateful for your patience, love, and support, and can’t wait to see you next week.”
Stapleton added that anyone who cannot attend a rescheduled date should contact their point of purchase by Tuesday. June 28 at 11:59 p.m. local time. The announcement prompted hundreds of comments offering well-wishes and hopes that Stapleton would get well soon. Stapleton is also gearing up for the opening of his new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Chris Stapleton: Since 1978, presented by Ram Trucks. The attraction is set to open on July 1 and will run through May 14, 2023.
