Daughter Exposes Dad As Australia’s “Tinder Swindler”

A man is being exposed as the “Tinder Swindler” of Australia and it’s his own daughter who’s revealing his deceit. Grant Greentree’s daughter, Isabella, says he’s conned multiple women out of thousands and she’s speaking up to stop him from preying on others. His latest alleged victim? His now ex-wife, Kim d’Alquen, who’s out $200-thousand after falling for Greentree’s lies.

The former couple had a whirlwind romance after meeting on the dating app Bumble and things got serious quickly after he told her an emotional story about the last minutes with his ex-wife, Elizabeth, who he said died of cancer. Kim and Greentree tied the knot in 2020 and looking back, she sees how her ex was conning her. “He was love-bombing,” she says. “He was reeling me in very carefully.” But at the time, she believed everything he said, including that he would be getting a huge pension payment when he turned 60 and that he owned several properties around the world.

So until then, Kim paid for their lifestyle, including luxury holidays and everyday expenses. And it wasn’t until she met Greentree’s daughter that she learned his ex-wife is very much alive. This raised Kim’s suspicions and around the time she began to doubt everything he’d said, he turned 60 and didn’t receive that money he said he’d get. When Kim demanded answers, he had none and that’s when she says the “mask of the caring, loving soulmate fell away” and her husband turned into a ”scared, angry little man.”

  • Eventually, Kim left Greentree, but she was $200-thousand out of pocket.
  • An investigation by Australia’s “60 Minutes” found other victims he had scammed, including his high school sweetheart, Mel Sexton, who he took for $33-thousand.
  • Kim doesn’t expect she’ll ever be repaid and she believes her ex will continue to con innocent women since the law can’t do much about this kind of “moral crime.”
  • “He plays on your trust and that’s the worst kind of crime,” she says.

Scott's Thoughts:

  • You know it’s bad when his own daughter is calling him out!
  • How did this guy think he was going to get away with lying about his ex being dead when his daughter wasn’t backing up his lies?
  • For me, I do not trust anyone till I get to know them.
