It’s all fun and games for Luke Bryan, the country artist and known prankster who serves on the American Idol celebrity judge panel. Bryan took to TikTok to relive a hilarious moment from the beloved talent competition series, and he seemingly still can’t stop laughing.
The clip shows host Ryan Seacrest reminding viewers that the Top 10 contestants are vying to win them over, with all-caps text across the screen reading “WAIT FOR IT.” Off camera, viewers can hear an audible “thud,” and Seacrest, looking concerned, stops speaking and steps forward toward the judge panel, which also includes Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
It turns out Perry, donning a costume to appear on the show as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, had fallen out of her chair. Richie stood up, but Bryan replayed his uncontrollable laughter as he points at the fallen “Firework” singer, who is only visible by her green “fins” sticking up into the air. Seacrest, Richie and Bryan appear to help Perry back into her chair as everyone laughs off the unexpected moment.
“We all have that one friend like…me!!” Bryan captioned the video reliving the tumble. “Sorry [Katy Perry].”
