Garth Brooks took to his social media channels on Thursday afternoon (April 14) to share a bit of progress on his upcoming Nashville bar, now bearing an eye-catching sign that reads “Friends In Low Places,” after his iconic 90s hit. Posting a video, Brooks shared: “Have any of my Friends in Low Places hanging out on Broadway seen this yet?! Nashville, I CAN’T WAIT for this weekend! love, g”

Brooks announced earlier this month that he would open the new entertainment concept and bar on Lower Broadway in Nashville. The three-story, 40,000 square foot venue, purchased in December 2021, is located at 411 Broadway. The address is the former location of Downtown Sporting Club. Brooks teamed up with Nashville-based Strategic Hospitality to open the bar.

“We feel very lucky to have the chance to be part of Lower Broad, which is arguably THE hottest spot in the country,” Brooks said in a statement. “The goal is a classic honky-tonk that welcomes all and encourages love and kindness while playing the greatest music in the world in the home of Country Music!”

The retail store in Brooks' bar is now open, the sign in the window reads. It remains unclear, however, when the rest of the venue will open.

The country star is gearing up for “The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour,” performing all of his biggest hits — including “Friends In Low Places,” “The Thunder Rolls,” and his personal favorite, “Callin’ Baton Rouge.” Brooks’ announcement about his bar earlier this month promised additional information as it becomes available.
