Lauren Akins posted a new family photo on Tuesday morning (April 5), and everyone is gushing over the “sweetest and cutest fam ever.” Akins shared the adorable selfie along with a heartfelt tribute to her husband, country hitmaker Thomas Rhett, who just celebrated a birthday on March 30 and released his sixth studio album on April 1. Akins noted that the family took the picture on Rhett’s birthday, with all four daughters donning pink party hats with streamers. Akins wrote to her husband in the caption:
“Honey you are everything God knew we needed to be the best leader of our fam🤍 happy birthday cutie pie (**last Wednesday)! and happy album release (**last Friday)! YOU ARE THE BEST THING IN OUR LIFE🥰 and we are SO proud of you!!! We love celebrating you babe! Have fun on @thetodayshow and give @hodakotb big hugs from us💕 WE LOVE YOU!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 xoxoxo, Laur, Willa Gray, Ada James, Lennon, Lillie, Kona & Cash 💗🐾”
Rhett and Akins are proud parents to Willa Gray (6), Ada James (4), Lennon Love (2) and Lillie Carolina, born in November. As Rhett celebrates his latest album release — Where We Started, which is the first of two projects set to release this year, followed by Country Again: Side B — he often talks about his family. He shared that Lennon, for example, often requests “daddy’s song” while they’re in the car (when she’s not listening to Encanto), and “Angels” is one of his favorite songs on the new album because it’s “a new way to say ‘I love you’ to my wife.” See Akins’ adorable post here:
