Lee Brice proves (once again) that he knows how to party. The country artist premiered his latest music video on Thursday morning (January 27), bringing “Soul” to life at an exhilarating wedding reception. The song aims to celebrate “human connection that goes deeper than simply surface attraction,” as Brice sings:
“And I'll be singing, Holy Mother of Moses/ I just wanna buy you roses/ Open every door that closes/ And kiss you from your head to your toeses/ I like your soul, baby/ You got that heart made of gold, baby/ I’m gonna love you 'til I'm old, baby/ I just wanna be your baby”
“We had a ball, with every aspect of this song,” Brice said in a statement. “Finding it, (thank you, JR), hearing it the first time, recording it, singing it, mixing it, shooting the video, all of it. I feel like Hey World is my most diverse and at the same time cohesive record I’ve ever made. We have fun songs to mix in with the heavier ones and I couldn’t be happier with how this track turned out. The idea that our souls truly connect to each other in unexplainable ways has always been at the core of what I do as a musician, a writer, a producer, and a singer….and I think it's a good reminder to keep with me every day. I hope everybody loves this song as much as I do.”
“Soul” is one of the tracks from Brice’s Hey World, along with three other No. 1 songs: “I Hope You’re Happy Now” feat. Carly Pearce, “One Of Them Girls,” and “Memory I Don’t Mess With.” Check out Brice’s latest music video here:
