Lainey Wilson would lose her head if it wasn’t attached.

The reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year premiered a creative, lighthearted visual for one of her latest singles, “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” on Friday (September 25). A headless Wilson scrambles to find the essential items before leaving the house (and chases her head as it tumbles down a hill and into a pond) throughout the TK McKamy-directed video. Viewers can also catch cameos of Wilson’s dog, Hippie Mae, and a glimpse of her husband, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, on her phone screen as it rings in her purse.

“Boy, you know I’d lose my head/ If it wasn’t attached/ Got a couple screws loose/ Be up a creek if I ever forget/ What keeps the ground/ Underneath my two boots/ I’d be out of luck, lost/ If I ever up and lose/ And that’s Jesus, Jones, Mama/ My phone, keys, wallet, and you”

Wilson, who delivered a heartfelt tribute to late legend Dolly Parton at the iHeartRadio Music festival this month, released “Phone, Keys, Wallet” in June. She wrote the single with Kid Harpoon, Jon Decious, Dan Pellarin, Dallas Wilson, Trannie Anderson and Summer Overstreet. Harpoon co-produced the track with John Mayer, who is featured on guitar. Mayer recently joined Wilson on stage for the first live performance this month at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s annual All for the Hall benefit concert in Los Angeles, California. Wilson also caught up with Mayer to talk about “Phone, Keys, Wallet” in a video she shared on Friday.

Wilson said when she released “Phone, Keys, Wallet” that the song “is about finding somebody who loves you for every messy, imperfect, chaotic version of yourself.” She said, “I feel like a tornado with boots on half the time, and this song is really about finding somebody who’s okay with that chaos and chooses to love you through it anyway.”
