Kelsea Ballerini teamed up with Marshmello on an upbeat, dance-worthy collaboration that fans quickly deemed the “song of the summer.”
The country-pop superstar and the genre-spanning DJ and record producer delivered “Another Drink” on Friday (June 26): “Take it from me/ No, she don’t care about your truck/ Yeah, boy, you’re out of luck/ No, she don’t want a thing/ She just wants another drink/ Don’t wanna share a smoke/ Don’t wanna take you home/ No, she don’t want a thing/ She just wants another drink/ She just wants another drink.”
“I've been a friend and fan of Marshmello's for years, and we've always wanted to find the right thing to work on together,” Ballerini said in a statement. “This song came to life at the perfect time for us to combine our worlds for a fun, summertime jam. I hope it makes everyone cheers and dance.”
Marshmello said in a statement of his own, “I loved the challenge of bringing my own approach to country production on this track, and I'm grateful to Kelsea for trusting my vision. She's an incredible artist and person, and we're both proud of this song and excited for everyone to hear it.”
Ballerini vented to Marshmello at the bar in a teaser she shared earlier this month. She said in the clip, “it’s like every guy in the world just thinks every girl in the world goes to a bar to just like, what, get hit on?” Ballerini mimicked throwing up. “If one more guy comes up to me and says that he has a truck parked outside,” she sarcastically applauded, “good job. Like, when’s the last time you called your mom? …Do you want another drink?” Marshmello nodded. When the two artists shared the first sneak peek and revealed the song’s release date, commenters on TikTok and Instagram hailed “Another Drink” the “song of the summer.”
Ballerini, who moved to New York City for “a chapter of life,” released her latest EP, Mount Pleasant, in November 2025. “Another Drink” is Marshmello’s latest collaboration with a country artist since he released “Where We Go” with Thomas Rhett earlier this spring.
