Miranda Lambert revealed a sneak peek of an unreleased song after teasing fans with a mysterious countdown.
The most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history confirmed on Monday morning (May 4) that her new song, “Crisco,” will arrive on Friday, May 15. Lambert wrote in her caption on Instagram as she posted the new teaser, “It’s a rhinestone world we’re livin’ in… ‘Crisco’ 🤠🪩”
“It has so many elements of the country music that I love that I’ve never put on tape,” Lamber said in a statement of the song she wrote with Aaron Raitiere, Jesse Frasure and Chill Fellacheck. “There’s a looseness to it, a joy. It feels like dancing in your kitchen with the person you love, spinning old records, not overthinking a thing.”
Lambert stirred anticipation for “Crisco” last week, captioning a clip, “honey, bring the sugar. I can bring the spice 🤠🪩.” That clip focused on a vintage television with the unreleased anthem striving to play through static on the screen. Lambert directed fans to a link, which included a countdown to May 15. “Crisco” will be Lambert’s latest song to release since she debuted “A Song To Sing” with Chris Stapleton last year. She’s also been featured on several recent collaborations, including Kacey Musgraves’ “Horses and Divorces,” Ella Langley’s “Butterfly Season,” and “Trailblazer” with Lainey Wilson and Reba McEntire. Lambert’s latest studio record is Postcards From Texas, which arrived in September 2024, plus a new edition of Kerosene last year, marking her debut studio album’s 20th anniversary.
