Megan Moroney Fires Off Warning To 'Walking Red Flag' In Cinematic Video

Megan Moroney fires off a “feel-good warning to a walking red flag” in her cinematic new music video featuring reality TV star Dylan Efron.

Moroney, 28, teamed up with songwriters Emily Weisband, Hillary Lindsey and Luke Laird to bring “Wish I Didn’t” to life. It was produced by Kristian Bush. The song “perfectly encapsulates the overall spirit of Cloud 9,” as Moroney “sizes up a potential paramour with a checkered past,” states a press release issued shortly after midnight ET. The Lauren Dunn-directed music video — with clever Easter eggs nodding to the Cloud 9 era — “arrives as a modern-day update of the action-comedy classic Mr. & Mrs. Smith, with Moroney and Efron playing the parts of a seemingly perfect married couple living secret double lives as competing assassins...and ends on a spectacular cliffhanger.”

“Wish I Didn’t” is the latest track to release from the award-winning artist’s upcoming studio album, following “6 Months Later” and “Beautiful Things.” Moroney recently revealed the full Cloud 9 track list, which includes collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves:

Moroney will release Cloud 9 on Friday, February 20. She’ll kick off her headlining arena tour this spring, with added performance dates “due to overwhelming demand” at “top-tier arenas across the U.S.” See the full list of tour stops and watch the music video (warning: language) below.
