Lainey Wilson marked a full-circle moment when she debuted her cover photo on the next issue of COWGIRL magazine. The trailblazing country star, who “grew up a cowgirl,” revealed the cover in a post on Instagram on Thursday (October 5).
COWGIRL is a publication that aims to inspire “the modern Western lifestyle.” It shared Wilson’s November/December magazine cover featuring Wilson and photographed by Nashville, Tennessee-based Aubrey Wise on social media: “Unleashing the unapologetic voice of a country cowgirl renegade, the young and extremely talented singer/songwriter has found her stride, and there’s no turning back.”
Wilson recently told iHeartCountry that although Nashville is where she's lived for the last 12 years, “where I repack my bag (and) do my laundry,” northeast Louisiana will always be considered home to her. Born and raised in the small town of Baskin, Louisiana, the “Things A Man Oughta Know” country artist comes from a farming family and has previously shared her lifelong appreciation of the cowgirl lifestyle. Wilson has nodded to cowgirl life in her music, including in her “Heart Like A Truck” music video and “Live Off,” both tracks that appear on her latest full-length album, Bell Bottom Country.
