Maren Morris showed some love to her fans during her performance on the TODAY Show on Thursday morning (July 28), and shared a sweet moment with one girl standing in the front row. The whole thing was “a dream come true,” for the superfan, the TODAY Show tweeted.

The show’s Savannah Guthrie led Morris to meet Lily, a young girl who sang the words to every one of the country artist’s songs. “Lily knows every one of your songs,” Guthrie said. “Lily is blind, but boy, can she hear you!”

Lily gushed with gratitude for a signed guitar pick from Morris as she shook the “Circles Around This Town” singer-songwriter’s hand. Lily, from New York, also couldn’t resist asking Morris, “what is Hayes’ favorite song of yours, and how is he doing?”

“He’s good! I think he’s home watching right now, I hope,” Morris replied, adding, “I’m gonna say ‘Hummingbird,’ because it’s about him…and he’s a feature on it.”

Morris debuted “Hummingbird” on her latest album, Humble Quest, which released earlier this year. She previously shared that she wrote the sentimental track “on the day I found out I was pregnant with Hayes,” who turned 2 in March. “By the time we were recording, he was talking so I got to record his sweet voice to add to the top of the track.”

During her appearance on the TODAY Show, Morris also spoke about her songwriting process and inspirations, her tour, her life as a mom and her American Idol audition in 2007 (which didn’t go so well). Morris rocked a neon outfit as she performed some of her biggest hits, including “Circles Around This Town” and “My Church.” See a post from Morris below.
