Hunter Hayes shared a mysterious post on his social media channels, and fans can’t help but wonder whether the “Wanted” singer has new music on the way. “I hate it when it goes straight to voicemail,” he captioned.

The cryptic, 23-second video shows, presumably, Hayes dialing a payphone, with the tones of the digits playing a song. It rings once, and and automated voice says: “We’re sorry. The song you’re trying to listen to is not yet released. Please try again later.”

Hayes’ post prompted comments from eager fans seeking to determine the meaning. He responded to a few of them on TikTok, seemingly teasing something… One fan wrote “Oh c’mon! Don’t tease us like this! I need Red Sky news!,” and Hayes replied, “Did you call the number?” Another noted that “the dialing kinda catchy,” and Hayes suggested it “Could be a chorus melody? Maybe?” “I JUST CALLED IT OMG I NEED THE WHOLE SONG NOW PLS,” another TikTok user begged, and Hayes assured, “So soon…”

One eagle-eyed fan wondered if Hayes was calling home, spotting “337” dialed and matching it to the area code of his Louisiana hometown. Many simply expressed their excitement and prying for more details, including a release date. Though Hayes hasn’t revealed a release date, fans can get a sneak peek of a new song by dialing the number in the video. Watch here:
