Carrie Underwood And Mike Fisher Take Part In The Viral FaceApp Challenge

If you've been on social media at all over the last day or so, you have probably seen your timeline full of pictures of your friends and various celebrities looking a bit older than usual.

This viral trend is all thanks to an app called FaceApp. The way it works is users upload a photo of themselves, or their friends, and the app then generates an ages version of the same photo. If you're curious what you might look like a few decades from now, FaceApp does its best to let you know. FaceApp can be downloaded in the iTunes App Store and is free for the first three days of purchase.

This evening country singer Carrie Underwood shared her contribution to the FaceApp challenge with a Instagram photo of her and her husband of nine years, Mike Fisher. To no surprise, even with the exaggerated photo edit, featuring additional wrinkles and gray hair, the couple still manages to look pretty good. Underwood captioned the photo, "Everybody's doing it...@mfisher1212."

Fans blew up the photo with comments noting how great the couple looked even after being artificially "aged." Some even suggested that Underwood's appearance reminds them of Tanya Tucker while Fisher's look brings up a few Mel Gibson comparisons. Quite the array of compliments!

Underwood isn't the only country artist who's caught on to the viral trend. Other country artists like Chris Young, Kane Brown, and Jason Aldean have also shared their aged photos to Instagram. You can check each of the artists Instagram posts below.

The first half of Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour with special guests, Maddie & Tae and Runaway June has finished up for the summer. The second half of the tour will pick back up again this fall on September 10 in San Diego, CA. Get your tickets for a show near you right here.
